Our vision. Our values. Our way.

Everyone involved in Blaser’s success shares an enthusiasm for hunting and an affinity for innovation in gun making. Key positions in the company, from those test-firing the weapons to the CEO, are held by active hunters who know from experience what the sport demands from equipment.

Ever since primitive times, hunters have had to use their intellect to compete against the innate survival skills of wild game. Over the years this has resulted in great innovations in gun design and construction. As the evolution between the hunter and the hunted continues, Blaser methodically refines their weapons with sensitivity for cultural values.

Fifty years ago, gunsmith Horst Blaser recognized that hunting was changing and that rifle manufacturing needed industrial processes to reach a higher level of quality and precision and still remain affordable. By inventing new manufacturing techniques and features that optimised functionality, durability and safety, he laid the cornerstone for modern-day hunting technology.

Since Blaser first began manufacturing guns, the safety of hunters and their companions has been a priority. Today, experts consider Blaser’s manual cocking system to be one of the safest in the world. In addition, Blaser’s innovations in barrel, trigger and lock technology enable hunters to shoot with greater accuracy than their forefathers – provided that they are just as well-trained.

Equally important to Blaser is the reliability of their rifles even under extreme conditions. Professional hunters on all continents consult with the Blaser team and execute rigorous testing on prototypes and line models. Before any innovation is added to the product range, it has to pass an extensive test program.

Easy handling, comfort and freedom of movement are also paramount to the Blaser development team. Thus, they created the term "huntability" standing for the sum of all these features. Recognizing that hunters often travel to different hunting environments, even within their own country, Blaser designed its product line to be highly flexible. Calibers can be changed quickly and easily, the wooden stock can be exchanged for a more robust synthetic stock, and the technology can be specialized in countless ways. Even customizing the rifle with engravings, precious root wood and other distinctive details is an important part of the Blaser culture. As a rule, most would claim that there is a Blaser to suit everyone. In reality, hunters all over the world associate Blaser with their most beloved activity: active hunting.
